CCCA | ECTU - Early Clinical Trial Unit

ISCO | Early Clinical Trial Unit

In the “Early Clinical Trial Unit" (ECTU) of the CCCA, patients are treated within the framework of clinical studies in the early phases. These are treatment procedures that have not been studied in humans yet or have not been studied very extensively yet, but which may be particularly attractive for certain patient groups. Such early phases of clinical trials are: Phase I (verification of tolerability) and Phase IIa (verification of the therapy concept with the question of efficacy) as well as Phase IIb (finding the appropriate therapy dose). The ECTU provides the necessary framework for conducting early clinical trials at the CCCA and has study-experienced experts in the outpatient and inpatient areas. It is very important to note that patients with tumor diseases that have been pre-treated in many cases can also benefit here. For these patients, there are often no other freely available treatment options. In such situations, the most modern and innovative therapies can be offered in the CCCA Early Clinical Trials Unit, if necessary.

The ETCU at CCCA is also part of the state-wide study network of the Bavarian Center for Cancer Research (BZKF).
