We care for children with congenital or acquired coagulation disorders. These are conditions associated with a tendency to thrombosis or bleeding.
- Consultation and assessment in cases of suspected thrombosis
- Consultation and assessment in cases of suspected bleeding tendency (nosebleeds, increased bruising, increased and heavier menstrual bleeding, preoperative assessments)
- Interdisciplinary care for children after thrombosis, stroke or pulmonary embolism
- Interdisciplinary and continuous care for children with a tendency to bleed (e.g. von Willebrand syndrome, haemophilia A and B)
- Interdisciplinary care for girls with heavy menstrual bleeding
- Care for children with coagulation disorders during and after surgery
As part of a cross-clinic cooperation, our patients with blood clotting disorders (especially haemophilia) are cared for in collaboration with colleagues from the Dr. von Hauner Children's Hospital in Munich.
