Code of Conduct of the University Hospital Augsburg

How we work and live together in healthcare, research and teaching!

We combine research and teaching with the well-being of the people entrusted to us. This is our mission as a university hospital. Through continuous dialogue between science and practice, we are committed to the common good and society.

To this end, we assume great legal and ethical responsibility towards patients, employees, contractual and cooperation partners and the Bavarian-Swabian region.

The Code serves as a measuring instrument for us to reflect on our behaviour and comply with standards and laws. At the same time, it strengthens our cohesion and forms a central pillar for a sustainable compliance management system.

Our principles and values

The Code of Conduct applies to all employees of the University Hospital Augsburg and its subsidiary(ies) as well as the employees of the Free State of Bavaria working at the University Hospital Augsburg. We comply with it as a benchmark for all our actions.

Special regulations in laws, ordinances, collective agreements, service agreements, internal guidelines (procedural and service instructions, statutes, regulations as well as safety and quality regulations) remain unaffected.

Labour law

We are proud of the fact that we have developed from a municipal company into a university hospital. Due to this special history, we are subject to a large number of statutory, collectively agreed and internal regulations in the area of labour law , which are of great importance to us.
