For the first time in its history, the University Hospital Augsburg (UKA) brought its services directly into the city centre – in the form of a pop-up store that was open throughout November. The UKA Career Camp gave people the chance to experience 'your' and 'our' UKA up close and in a completely new way: right in the heart of the city, approachable, directly accessible, and with a diverse programme.
The event was launched with a formal opening. Over the course of four weeks, exciting presentations followed, covering topics such as high-risk pregnancies and premature infants, live demonstrations of the Da Vinci® surgical robot for minimally invasive procedures, the Augsburg Hearing Days, and five fascinating Sunday matinées on current topics in cutting-edge medicine and research.
The diverse programme, featuring interactive workshops, panel discussions, and insights into state-of-the-art medical technologies, attracted many visitors and captivated the public. Four weeks filled with exciting experiences and encounters in the world of leading-edge medicine – a resounding success for UKA.
